Lots of preparation to be done, but between me and her boyfriend, i think we can pull it off.
Nice to be back from manchester in one piece - despite the complaining i did, it was a good experience and wasn’t as bad as i thought it would be so that makes me happy. We’re all still friends, which says alot :D

Ok, so I’m writing this on my way home from seeing my favourite @bextasy… I’m not going to post any spoilers, so no readers need to worry, I’m just going to give my overall opinion…
…Which you’ll be pleased to hear, is a very pleased one. The adaptation from book to film definately exceeded my expectations. So many are terrible, and I’m so thankful they finally got one right.
Don’t get me wrong, there are parts of it that are VERY different from the book, but even so they worked well, and in some cases, the extra/changed bits enhanced the story.
What we need to remember is that Suzanne Collins wrote the book from Katniss’ point of view. Obviously, when making a film, its going to be much harder to portray parts of the story, and most importantly, how Katniss is feeling all the time. And this, I think, is a great time to credit all the actors/actresses on what a fantastic job they did. Jennifer Lawrence just IS Katniss. Her whole personality was perfect and I can’t fault it.
And Josh Hutcherson as Peeta is just a match made in heaven. He plays the perfect role, as the ‘starcrossed lover’ and the moments with him and Katniss just make your heart melt. I’m guilty, for getting very excited for the cave scene - anyone who read the book and enjoys a love story would be crazy not to be - and although there are parts missed out, what has taken their place is wonderful and I’m happy.
Other favourite portrayals for me inclyde Haymitch, Effie, Prim and Seneca Crane. There are added parts that really help tell the story to those who have not read the book, as well as preparing all viewers for what is to com in the next movies.
It was also interesting to view the way they do things in the film, as to how I pictured them happening in the book, such as times of day, and the shape of the cornucopia etc.
There are things that are a bit…I don’t want to use the word ‘disappointing’…a bit understated, that I was expecting more from, but I’m not complaining - films ahave limitations.
In summary, the visual was exquisite, the set up of the games, VERY original, and all of the characters’ individual personalities, particularly those of the tributes, were spot on. It was better than I could have ever imagined…and I’m going to see it again tomorrow :D.
I know there’s probably loads of stuff I’ve missed out but I’ll let you all see it for yourselves and form your own opinions…but in my case,
I applaud everyone involved in the making of The Hunger Games movie.
So the tattoo is healing really nicely, and i love the way it has turned out. The shading for the DNA helix is just stunning and you can tell how it all blends in nicely with the stars.
I might get him to put a little more light blue in them, because it’s not that visible at the moment, but it might be when it’s healed.
Sleeping has been alright too, though i have had to get up at 6.00am to put more bepanthen on it. But i sleep on my side so that hasn’t really been much of an issue.
What has been is leaning back on ANYTHING.
Driving is hilarious, i have to sit so close to the wheel it’s like I’m my sister! (She has super short legs so has to sit really close). And little things like relaxing on the sofa, as i have to either lie down at a funny angle or sit forward…
My clothes are pretty crappy at the moment, and i’m getting through vests SO quickly. Hopefully the ink will wash out. Not wearing tight clothes is the key at the moment so the scabbing isn’t flaked off, and nor is the cream.
Washing isn’t as bad as i thought, shallow baths being my saviour. I haven’t wet it yet, so I’m winning. Just wiping it down every so often (which again, is an issue with reaching my back) and keeping it clean.
So I’m going back to work tomorrow, which may involve asking my friend to put more cream on half way through the day. At the moment I’m discovering how flexible i am when trying to put cream all the way up it. Other than that, whenever i see someone, I’m like, ‘Oh, can you do me a favour?’
But despite all of these things…it looks fantastic and I’m so so happy with it. When it’s healed it’s going to look amazing.
I’ll get some close up pictures up when i can. My parents are home today so they can help me with it.
…after demolishing my wing mirror (electric, silver, 09 car = what i thought would be expensive…!) and losing my iPod this morning, with all my new awesome music on…
Some silver linings have been found!
Firstly, i figured losing my iPod warranted me upgrading while i had the chance, so i have gone for the new iPod nano 8gb. Picking it up after work!
I know I’m not a fan of touch screens, but at some point, everything will be touchscreen, so i might as well start conforming now.
And it’s super small. Not only this, but i get to finally sort out what music i want, and what music i don’t, which means a spring clean of all the shit that is still on my iTunes.
And finally, after expecting to pay in the hundreds for a new wing mirror…
I have received a quote from a lovely man in lancashire, for only 75 pounds!
This makes me super happy. So an awful start to the day has turned out to be a little better - and the sun has clearly come out this afternoon to reflect this :)
